How did you fall into this wedding coordinating business, Kira?
Well, you can say it was Kismet.. ;)
I never planned on becoming a wedding coordinator, but sometimes life has a funny way of surprising you. It started when I accidentally ended up as the coordinator for my friend’s wedding, I didn’t even know the term “day of coordinator” or what it was.
I was there, there were things that needed doing, and I just... did them. After the wedding, multiple people complimented my wedding coordinating skills, and I was like, 'Wait, what?'
I enjoyed coordinating her wedding, and I am thrilled to coordinate yours!
SWEET!
How do we get this party started?
Our part(y)nership starts with a consultation where we go over you event(s), discuss a top-level timeline and my role after which I will send you a quote.
We will look at your event (example the wedding day) and go over each component step by step (like guest entry, seating, refreshments, bridal party entry, ceremony, etc). At each component, I will ask you what role you would like for me to play (example- I don't need any help with set up but I need someone to coordinate my family and make sure they are seated before we start). Once we've gone over all event components and my role, I will send you a quote. and we go from there!
Whatever your vision- together we will make it happen through sheer force of will and planning… mostly planning :D
You have your venue booked, the hair and makeup artist booked, the photographer for the first look booked and the team to set up the wedding venue booked. All these are independent vendors who aren’t communicating with each other and likely have you or your partner as their point of contact- this is where I come in- I will coordinate these independent vendors and events to make the day cohesive, and be the point of contact so you and your family can relax and focus on the festivities as opposed to stressing about timelines!
